Author - Apple Tree Childrens Book Series
Author Yvonne David was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and raised there and in London,
England. Language and literature have always filled her life. Her qualifications
from the Language Tuition Center in London, England included interpreter/translator
in English and French with German as her third language. After moving to Florida
with her American husband, she earned a degree in English and Organizational Communications
from Rollins College. Her publishing career began with writing newspaper and magazine
articles, leaping to a series of four historical fiction books.

The series began when her son’s Bar Mitzvah teacher discovered Yvonne’s writing
talents, and she suggested that Yvonne write a book for the Jewish High Holidays.
Fascinated with the history of the Jewish settlers in the Catskill Mountains, Yvonne
chose this setting for Out of the Apple Orchard, her first book for children. She
is now close to completing the second book in the Apple Tree Series.
Yvonne was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society.
She is a guest speaker at schools, conferences, and libraries. Yvonne is a member
of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. She also served as Literary
Selection Committee member and Board member of the Jack Kerouac Writers-in-Residence
Project of Orlando, Inc, a literary retreat for talented writers worldwide.
Much appreciation goes to my son, who inspired me to write the Apple Tree Series
books
